Looking good...I plan on dropping those same rods and pistons in mine sometime next year...but I'm doing it w/out taking the engine out...
can any give me input on honing out the cylinders ? some people are telling me to hone it and some people are telling me not to
does it come in a certain grit ?It depends. If you are using the same rings as before (your stock rings, you don't need to hone the cylinders... you just need to make sure you put the Cyl1 Top Ring back in the 1st Cyl, top ring... dido for all for. Must be an exact ring swap, as far as the cylinders are concerned.
If you are changing your rings, then you need to hone the Cylinders. You can buy the tool at an AutoZone or Advance Auto.

may i ask why not build ur valve train up or atleast get better valves since u gotta replace em anyhow..
