Vinyl Question

I got some tribal vinyls to go over my interior trim. not all of it, just a simple design, my trim is painted and the vinyl wont stick.,any thoughts

umm clean it up real good with some rub in alcholue and heat should do the trick

is it clearcoated? i think vinyl is designed for very clean, very smooth surfaces, such as clearcoat or glass...

its all good, use some water and a iron...
