I bought a GM DVD service manual off eBay and can't figure out how to install it. But I'd rather have something on paper anyway. E me about how I can get one. 2010 SS/TC. TIA, Kurt

As an ex gm tech I know you can do this one for me. See if there is an update on the 2008-2010 radio with USB. Ever since the 4.0 upgrade of the iPhone came out the radio doesn't support it. I'm waiting on them to update their radio to match what apple did. Thanks man

Klunky Front AGAIN!!!

Okay.... Have an '08 LS with 85,000 miles on her.... Had some nasty front end klunk going on last year and through this forum, and from talking to other cobalt owners I went at the control arm bushings. Sure nuff' one was missing. Bought the nice aftermarket orange ones that were made from a poly material and they worked great. Now, I have some noises coming from the right front. You can only hear it when going slow over any type of bumpage, or when yanking the wheel back and forth. After talking with some more folks, I have been led to the wheel bearings/hubs. I ordered up some new ones and I am getting ready to change em' out.

My 1 Million dollar question is this: What tooling is required to change the front bearing/hub assemblies on my '08 LS and what are the torque settings if any?

I am familiar with other GM autos and I have needed a 36MM socket to get it apart. Anything fancy with these???

I have a 2010 Chevy Cobalt 2.2. It as been charging up to 15 volts, high enough to GAS a battery. This past week, while going down a STEEP, WINDING, DIRT, COLORADO road I lost the Power Steering. This has happened in the past. Dealers in CANYON, and Colorado Springs tell me that I have to drive it in to be Analyzed. Usually it will clear in 10 minutes.

I have the Codes from a Black Box, and a Reader.

I believe the car to be unsafe. I am a little reluctant to climb under the thing. Now I am a little more Pro Active. Have scraped the paint of the ground points on the struts, put in Star Washers, and electrical paste. The Cold Cranking Current has gone from 150 to 350 CCA. Battery will now start at 14.8 Volts and drop to 12.8. It seems normal, but I have an appointment to have it on a rack to check ALL the points.

The Steering. Does any one have experience with this. It can fail at any time. I am asking about Liability. Has there been any Recalls. Dealers say NO, the Web says yes; However anything can be put on the internet.

There have been several problems that I personally have been able to find. Will DOG this one out, but personal ideas and tricks help.

The Highway Safety tells me "wait until some one dies, and then call us." ______ _____!!!

Go to a different dealer because there is a recall and they are lying to you.
Btw is you can a salvaged car?

The people at the dealership are morons and idiots. Go to another dealer (if you can).

I replaced my power steering whenever I received my recall letter in the mail. And thank goodness I received the letter because my power steering went out a week after the letter.

No matter the direction, Dealers are 50 miles away, then make it a round trip.

Stopped into a local shop, and he gave me a list of things that could be going. Since I have been working on the Ground points, the Steering has not acted up. Nuts, if it ain't broke you can't fix it.

Sort of the Fun of the Game.

MPG. I have it in the back of my mind. Went to pick up a Loading Pallet today. Part of the deal was to check what the trailer would do to me. Some long hills which will kill me anyway I do it. Fellow walking up the hill with a bike. Gave him a ride, shot that trip. But looking at the gas gauge, it did not seem all that bad.

Call each dealer and see what the different ones say.
Ask if you have any recalls and they will ask you your vin.
And through that they can verify.
