i never cared for tpms lol! so i asked the guy at a shop that i like what their policy is. they'll install new rim/tires without swapping the tpms sensors, but i gotta sign a waiver lol

i think i'll do that, unless i can get them to swap the sensors over with the rebuild kit for them for free... not sure if that will fly lol

Discount tire does a rebuild kit every time I've gotten tires from them, they should swap for free, don't recall of the rebuild kit was free but it was cheap at the most.

I would hate the TPMS light and having the notification pop up every time you start the car.

I'll be getting a second set of TPMS sensors for the NA wheels.

^ yeah i've been rolling all my options on that for a while now. my plan (depending on price) 'was' to build a pvc pipe pressure vessel to store the sensors in lol! & them leave the pipe in the trunk or something. would get rid of the light & wouldn't have to pay anything... still trying to iron out all the costs though. ideally having a set in both sets of rims would be awesome, i'm kinda against the whole 'government knows best' lol cause i can check my own tires haha!

IIRC they have to spin to know to transmit and some to charge.
