So I was talking to one of my friends about a no-parking zone traffic ticket that i got a bit ago..from what i heard from two different people...if the cop mis-identifies the color of your car, you can actually get the ticket waved for misidentification purposes on the cops part. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this.

i know that one time the city of harrisburg tried to issue a ticket to my wife's car, a silver 08 mitsu lancer. and A. the car was never in the city of harrisburg and B. it was at the time located in texas. so I called them up and they asked me what type of car i had and they told me it was for a black honda civic.. stupid ass cop wrote down the license plate number wrong. so they waved the ticket I dunno if this sheds some validity on your question.

yeah i'm not sure. my girlfriend got a parking ticket that said "gray" in the color description and her car is solid factory black and she got the ticket waved. so i don't know..i have the papers that come with my car that say it's blue. but the cop wrote blue then crossed it out and wrote green. so i feel like if it mattered that much that he had to cross out blue because he thought it was green, then maybe color is actually more important than it seems?

My grandma got a speeding ticket one time and the cop put the wrong DOB on the ticket.
It was listed that she was 2 years old.
The judge threw it out because of the incorrect info.
This was back in the late 80's early 90's

i'm just gonna try to fight it tomorrow. if not, $25 isn't a big deal but i still would rather try and fight it first since my car seriously isn't green.
