that doesnt make any sense! if you want just the sound yeah chop the thing off and weld a straight pipe in there but if you want performance you'll want a larger diameter pipe with smoother bends and a less restrictive muffler.

The most restrictive part of the SS/TC exhaust is the stock catted downpipe. Our muffler is straight through already and catback is 2.75" iirc.

3" catless downpipe will make it bark!

^true dat. gm did a good job with our stock catbacks. it's the emissions that kills it. with some high flow cats you still won't pass inspection! the best thing to do for simple power is get a straight downpipe, grab an aem uego wideband while you're at it to fill that second bung, toss your bank 2 sensor, get tuned and keep the stock catback. it sounds awesome and you will most likely break 300whp! and you'll still pass inspection (assuming the tuner will delete p0420 code)

Your clips actually sound pretty mellow , I found a u-tube of the 3 inch Hahn muffler delete that sounds real good for a four lunger...could hear the turbo spool up out the tail pipe....pretty impressive.
I would guess you have no drone ????
Hello and congrats:) Can you post a link of this youtube 3" Hahn muffler delete? Love to hear what that sounds like.

I have an 09 with full Hahn bolt-on and found it too quiet. So I did a muffler delete but replaced it with an 18" Blox...never checked it out with any muffler...Now it sounds great but still could use a little more sound so I'm thinking of cutting out the front resonator...
