Fog light wiring

Ok so i just put fog lights on my ls. I have the dash trim piece with the fog light button and harness.

How would i run a wire from the fog light button (inside car) to the fuse box (outside the car)? I heard there is a little opening under the steering wheel that i can pass wires through?

yes there is. right behind the clutch if you have one. if not its to the left and up of the brake pedal

ok, first off the stock button wont work, secondly, youll need to run your own wiring throughout in full

ive done this to my car, and grabbed power source from the running lights that way it cant be left on when the car is off

I just to a jumper fuse to the low beam headlights and the ran a relay for the fogs. No switch they just go on and off with the headlights.
