cobalt starting weird

It hasn't run any lights and nothing came up on the inspection. Like I said, I've seen several stick shift Cobalts with this same thing so I assume it's normal. Maybe just a shitty design.

go to your coolant temp on your DIC, does it show a temp or "---"? also, is your fan ALWAYS on or just when you start and when it gets too hot?

It shows a temp of around 180 which is normal operating temp from what I've seen. The fans only kick on when the engine starts to get warm, as they normally should.

Mine has been taking several seconds to crank. On some colder mornings, it'll even act like its trying to catch even after I stop turning the key, but it usually cranks after a half second of that.

I never thought to check the TPS. I thought mine was electrical. I had the battery tested last time I was at Advance, but haven't done anything since.

Im not familiar with the Cobalt's TPS. Is there a way to test it without buying a new TB & installing it?

you should be able to put a volt meter up to each wire on the harness and test if they're getting any feedback. otherwise, throttle bodies are cheap anyways. i bought a brand new LSJ one for mine for 55 shipped brand new

Weird. Even RockAuto only has one for $130. Is there a table anywhere that shows the amount of voltage for various throttle positions?

fixed for me... weird thing ran some sea foam throw the intake system and rand perfect... great cheap easy way to start off guys
