Clunking in rear

My wife and I noticed a clunking sound from the back left of the car... When I sat in back seat it sounded like it was coming from in fender well... I pulled the tire off last night and pulled out the fender well plastic and could see anything that could be making good the noise.. anyone have any ideas?

It sounds a lot like as if we left the trunk barely latched and it's banging together...

I checked them.. seemed good.. is it possible it's the bump stops? I can try to record the sound since it's fairly loud and frequent since it is related to bumps in the road..

I have a persistent squeak in the rear when the car is loaded, might be the stops.

Here is a picture of the underside. . Where did you say it could be coming from?

I also recorded the sound.. you can hear it almost every time I hit a bump...

It's at the front of the rear axle. Where the swing arm connects to the body. More or less right in front of the rear tire.
