Hi everyone!

My stepdaughter has a 2005, 2-door, Chevy Cobalt. She was backing out of a driveway and hit some railroad ties. The mud flap/splashguard that goes around the right passenger side got torn off somehow. I was looking for replacements even though I think hers can be put back on. However, I don't know what the black bolt-looking pieces that go to it are called. Are they clips, fasteners, bolts? Is there a place I can get them other than GM?

Thanks so much in advance for any help!

Joanie

I don't recall which one they are, but check the other side. They're sold at most auto parts stores.

The clips(I call them plastic push pins) for the front are the same in the rear as well. You will also find them in every SATURN S-SERIES. You can find saturns in every junkyard in you can't find a cobalt. Bring a pair of angle cutters to get them out. The ones at the part store will work, but often aren't the same size or width.

Junkyards are great for these little things, usually a nominal charge for them.
