I've just purchased a used 09 Cobalt LS from my father in-law, he told me of an issue prior to me purchasing it, the issues I have currently are;

- Car starts, tries to idle, bogs out and dies.
- Wipers stay on (unless relay is pulled under hood) - Replaced wiper motor and switches - issue still exists.

The car ran fine up until today, nothing has changed from now to then except the wiper motor itself. Which was known to be in working condition before I installed it. I was told it could be a few different things causing this, BCM, Wiring Issue, Switch, and/or Motor. I've replaced two of the four issues but I honestly would rather stop wasting my money at this point.

Thanks for your time and :sorrysign:

All your fuses OK? That looks like a fuel pump that's not working.

Haven't checked every fuse yet. I went out and started it up though and it ran fine for a few minutes.. I tried moving it some and it moved, however it did finally die out after I moved about 30 yards. I quickly started it and reversed it back in front of my house.

Odd. I don't know exactly what to check off hand.

Fuses all checked out fine.

I was told it could be the BCM or PCM? How would I go about testing this?

Also the wipers seem to still be acting up, same issue unless I pull the relay they continue to run at the same speed. New motor and new column switch (again) and same issues :(

I wouldn't know where to begin with the BCM and ECM diag. Sorry.

My 2010 when got below 20dF hazards would start flashing and wouldn't start. New BCM at $600 at dealer fixed it. Also had numerous TPMS and air bag lights that have since gone away. An expensive part swap to just check though. The dealer could wiggle it and change simptoms before they agreed to replace so give that a try.
