What's stock tire size?

1010tires.com had a nice tire size calculator.

I honestly wouldn't recommend running a tire that wide without changing the wheel width, it'll look like a balloon. I had a 225/40/16 on my stock wheels for the last cobalt. Drove like it was floating. If you insist on running a 235 drop to a 235/45 so your circumference isn't off by a ton.

just get a stickier tire in the stock size, maybe move to a 215 but no wider. straight line performance will increase, but dont expect to take turns very confidently with a 235 tire on those wheels

Not unless you plan on cambering the **** out of them.

I went to a website to look for wheels and the sizes they gave me were no wider than 215. You don't need massive tires on a Cobalt. I have yet to see any Cobalts with a tire width of 225 let alone 235

If you go 235s, youd want 235/40 not 235/50

I was hoping to go with some 215/45/17 for some rims i got last year but haven't put on until my stock tires need replaced..

Will I have any rubbing issues with it lowered (Eibach Sportlines) ?

Thanks!
