i have a 2007 cobalt ls and the check engine light came on i put it on the computer and it said i need to replace the throttle position sensor can i just change the sensor or do i have to replace the throttle body also? the sensor looks like it has four clips holding it on but i dont know if they can be removed. i checked the part on line and ebay has the whole thing for $250.00 but i looked up just the sensor at local auto parts dealer and the sensor is between $35.00 and $55.00 but they say universal and may fit.

Universal will be no good. You'll have to get the throttle body. Go to RockAuto Auto Parts they have good prices on oem stuff. Just make sure you choose the right engine and such
