has any one gotten a 80 mph in a 60 zone in Newport News, VA (or in the general area?)? if so how much was the ticket, if you don't mind telling. i got stoped yesterday and VA dosen't put the price on their tickets, and i was just wondering how much ass pain to expect.

wife got one in VA 86 in 60mph zone. was about $245 - $300 i dont remember exactly

Neal.....how the hell did you get a ticket for 2 over? My lowest was 17 over and highest was 30 over I think.

not possible due to inaccuracy of speedometers there is a 3 mph buffer zone.

me and a friend was on the way to the beach , in the middle of no where somewhere before the flordia state line...speed limit was 40 and i came around the corner and it dropped down to 35 and a school zone out of no where and there he was sitting watching me...what the bitch is we just switched driving and i only drove 4 miles before that happend haha. if i was in my car instead of my friends truck i would have hit the next road over and hauled ass..

hell it wouldnt have made a diff. time i payed for gas and court cost i would have just broken even. the ticket was 125. and it was my first ticket so it didnt make my insurance go up.

Will they let you prepay that summons or does it require a court appearance? At 20+, each locality has a different policy for prepayment or appearance. If you can prepay, the box at the lower left portion will be checked and the court's phone number to the right of it. That is the juridictions clerk's office. May get a recording with the info you need or if you hold on enough and press the right buttons, you may actually get a human! Either way... they will tell you.. to the penny, what you owe or the procedure for final disposition.

lol i got 48 in a 30 and got it reduced and had to pay $100 fine here in nys
