Hi guys ,

I recently installed remote starter for my cobalt 2006 auto a month ago and everything was fine until yesterday . The remote receiver LED light behind the mirror stopped blinking (which im guessing stopped working).

The two headlights and rear headlights of the car that flash when LOCK/UNLOCK are constant ON , and I cannot turn them off unless I unplug the battery.

Any idea what the heck is going on ?

Hi Ibeta,

Sorry to hear about your remote and lights issues. I was wondering if your remote start was installed by GM or was it done by a private/dependent ? I did check the Owner's Manual for your vehicle. Sounds like it could be several things wrong but not exactly sure. Because I am not a technician and unable to diagnose the problem, I recommend that you contact your dealer.

Thank you,

well if u can still find the Owners manual whether it be aftermarket or Factory for this remote start there there may be a Diagnostic page that may give u info about these series of light flashes, mabey the system is in Valet mode thats pretty common with remote starts , but ya i never heard of a symptom like that sounds to me that there may be an possible issue with the antitheft wiring
