Anyone replaced one of these yourself? It broke this morning on my way to a certification class and ordered a new one on the way home. Not bad cost around $40~ Main concern is how much of a bitch is it to get the hose off the valve cover without removing the cover? I looked at it and it seems to be a difficult feat considering the amount of working space back there. I have the Alldata cert so I will get the whole procedure just want any pointers or things to look at.

I do not personally have any experience with these. From what I have seen and read though a couple of screwdrivers gets it off of there with some difficulty. That's if you aren't worried about destroying that hose end. Fuel line removal tools I hear don't work with the given space. Also may have to pull the cover to remove the hose.

ffs, was hoping i didn't have to remove the valve cover :/ if i take it off i might as well paint it.

to replace the valve I had to get the whole hose any way. so what ever happens to the existing hose end i could care less about.

You bought a whole new stock hose? Most just replace it with appropriately sized rubber fuel hose. VC isn't that hard to remove, saves you the headache later.

pvc and the hose don't have separate part numbers, so they come as one unit.
