nooby here with a "?"

First of all, hi to all from "Sin City", I browsed and read some threads posted here and I could see there is some good help offered here, which is great! Secondly, I just got a 2008 cobalt ls about a month ago, its all pretty much stock. It has just over 113K miles on it already. I got it at 112K. The engine sounds and feels great! No major issues that I've noticed yet. The interior is dirty due to the untightyness of the previous owner. Anyways, here is my question; I got a set of XXR 941 18"rims for cheap (the tires are bald). Whats the widest I can go on tires considering this nice little coupe has very sharp turning radius? Welcome. What's the offset and width? Generally the widest is 235, 245 sometimes fit but usually contact something.

The specs say 18x7.5. I'm not sure what that means.

Same size as stock SS/TC wheels, the most I'd run is 235/40R18. Any wider and you're eating strut.

My spare tire in the basement. Love these tires. Barely any wheel spin during summer. Tacky like crazy
