Need some Input on Sway bars

You dont actually have to remove your front bar, just disconnect the endlinks from your struts.

True... but that wouldn't be the smartest of ideas... then you've got a bar hanging down. Not to mention, removing it will take a good 25-30lbs off of the weight of the car.

really^ i was looking at getting the eibach front? maybe not get it?

I would never upgrade a front bar on a car unless you've got a car with a heavy oversteer problem.

They can yes, depending on which bar you have.

I'm not exactly sure on the exact weight of FE5 Front Sway Bar... but they usually aren't light. More than likely, the front is only about 20lbs. That's probably a more accurate guess. But either way... that's 20lbs less in the car. Weight really starts to add up over time... really helps make a car faster too.

Here's a list of stuff I'll be removing from my GSX and how much it weighs:

That's on a 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX... not my Cobalt. And I could really care less about Cabin Noise... that's not a big deal to me, especially since 90% of the driving that I do in my car, is just me cruising around town for the hell of it; usually with the windows down. Which is probably why I run a Side-Exit exhaust on my SS's Turbo set-up.

And yes, the weight of the GSX was with current mods. I haven't weighed the Cobalt. Want to though.

Thinking of going with that OTTP street bar, but at the same time I really want the hardcore

I'd say to stick with the Street. I was told from very good sources that the Hardcore would probably be a bit too much for your average Street Car Joe. I contemplated it as well. Street bar for me.

I was running sportlines with koni inserts all the way up just to get rid of the body roll, it still rolled way too much.

Sportlines do suck. And was that with FE5 Sway bars? Or base model sway bars?

I'd say to give the TC a shot around the block and see how she handles and such. She's going to be a hell of a lot different than your 2.2 was. You can make up your mind then.
