I tried per the instructions as well, still no go. Dealership is the only way to get our remotes programmed.

Nope, that's at least a '90s car just looking at the still picture.

I had to replace a lost fob (with remote start), and I ended up going to a parts store to buy a kit that included a fob + OBD-II dongle that allows you to program new fobs. The cost for the kit was around $80 and worked like a charm. As an added bonus, you can then program more if you need to later.

I hated to spend the $$, but it's better than paying for a new fob, then paying $51 a the dealership to program.
