debadge it then paint it like the front one and then rebadge it with 3m tape or some kind of flush seal adhesive from autozone

well did the front bumper came out ok, i mean not 100% perfect but thats more due to me, but hey. hoping to do the back next and learn from my mistakes. just aprenhensive about getting the badge off, dont want to screw up the car itself, whats easiest way to take off badge?

I didn't take the badge off for the back to paint mine.

But if you need to, just heat the badge up with a blow dryer or heat gun and get floss and shimmy it back and forth between the trunk and the badge.
