gas guzzler!! help!!

i got an 07 chevy cobalt LT. it recently started wasting gas like crazy. My brothers nissan frontier gets better gas mileage. A loud humming noise comes from the front of the car ever so often when i'm speeding.. any suggestions what could be the problem?? thanks

What kind of gas mileage are you getting? Also what kind of driving are you doing?

also how fast/ reckless are you driving? if ur going over 3k MPH on the regular expect to waste more gas lol

check tire pressure, tire balance and wheel bearings

Are you using regular octane? You didn't use E85 did you?

Check the coolant temp sensor if your engine is registering cold then your engine maybe dumping more gas then it actually has to. Happened to my truck a while back, just all of a sudden, and my uncle checked the computer, and it said my engine was running at -40 F
