anyone have this code come up? I'm in the works of figuring it out i just didnt ahve a tech 2 available after work today. here's some info for future refrence.
P2135 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch "a"/"b" voltage correlation
car will throw a mil light if the voltage exceeds 4.65 volts for more than .4 seconds. I have heard it can be caused by a low battery. load tested my battery and it's 106%. could also trip from ignition voltage exceeding 5.23v
side effects:
MIL light comes on
pcm records the dtc in freeze frame or failure records
tac system tells pcm to operate in reduced engine power mode or limp mode
dic will display reduced engine power
could possibly cause engine to shut off
idle may fluctuate and/or "hang" at abnormal rpm's
how to clear any code from freeze frame/failure records/dtc history:
clear code with scan tool
40 consecutive warm-up cycles that have occured with no malfunction
in other words, car goes into closed loop at 113F so from any temp under 113 you can start the car as soon as it exceeds 113F it counts as a warm up cycle. put 2+2 together you can figure out a neat little trick to make 40 warm up cycles go much quicker.
if anyone needs testing/repair procedures just post itt.
