I own a 2009 Cobalt LT, 76000 miles. My check engine light came on and I took it to an auto part store where they plugged it into a computer and pulled out the information on why it was on. The guy only told me that it said: "Camshaft Actuator Circuit Open". Is this an easy fix? I don't have a lot of money and would like to try and fix it myself.

Find out what the actual code number is, I really don't feel like searching my service book for that sentence.

I won't be able to go for a while, I have class and other obligations. But I will post it as soon as I am able to go to a parts store again. I really want to get this fixed. I change my oil regularly and all in all I take really good care of my car, so this has me worried. :/

Sorry, but that's all I know. I went to an advanced auto... The dealership wanted $96 to do the check.
