Car won’t start

My husband’s truck died the other day so he decided to jump it using my Cobalt. I started and drove my car up next to his truck and turned it off. He hooked up the jumper cables to both vehicles, had me try to start mine, and now my car won’t start. Checked for any codes but there are none. I’ve had the P0455 code before so on the off chance it was that I got a new EVAP purge solenoid and installed it. Didn’t fix the problem. Tried disconnecting the battery and pulling the fuse for the computer for a bit to see if it would reset but that didn’t work either. Super frustrated because now neither one of us have a vehicle to get to work.

You check any other fuses besides the one you pulled?

I did. I pulled any I could think of that would cause a problem with it starting. I’m now diving into troubleshooting to see whether or not it’s a spark problem or a lack of gas problem.

Update on the car: my husband finally was off early enough in the day to help me and we’ve figured it is a spark issue not lack of fuel. There is no problem with the fuses or relays as I’ve checked all of them. Since my husband doesn’t know much about newer cars he had me switch out the spark plugs and the ignition coil pack which didn’t fix anything.

Try adding a temporary ground wire from metal housing of the ECM to ground.
Also, what year Cobalt? If it has the ignition pack on top of valve cover, check for a good ground and positive 12 volts in the harness.
