car has been sitting for a little over a year

I have an 08 cobalt ls. Its been sitting for a little over a year the gas is just under half. The car has 40000 miles on it. I've read that the cobalts have a siphon screen on them, is this true? If it is how else could I get the gas out or how bad is it to fill up with fresh gas and run it through just the one time, maybe add injector cleaner or something of that sort before I run it though.

Just drop some injector cleaner in it, full up, and run it. It'll be fine.
