What mode are you shooting?

Try shooting in Manual and take off your auto white balance. If you have it set to Auto WB, then make sure you at least shoot in RAW.

At least by shooting RAW you can easily change things such as your white balance.

I never shoot in Auto unless if I'm forced to.

i was shooting in shade mode. so putting the file format in raw defaults the wb and gives me the ability to adjust that in editing?

Yeah, by shooting in RAW you're telling the camera to store all of the information and keep it in the photo for you to edit.

Shooting in JPEG, you're telling the camera that you want the processors in the camera to edit the photo for you.

That's as simple as I can get into that part.

The only disadvantages into shooting RAW are the file sizes. Since you have all that info saved into that one picture, unlike JPEG, you are going to have a bigger file size. Therefore, more memory you need.

I can post examples of where shooting in RAW saved me later, when I get home.

Most of the time, I'm a victim of harsh Tungsten light.

Try getting Lightroom.

If not, photoshop will work good enough.

Good thing is that both work hand in hand because they are from the same company.
