Hey guys!
I'm new here, stopping by for a technical question. I have a 2008 Cobalt LT sedan that has the brake lights staying on all the time. When you depress the brake pedal slightly, the lights go out, and then come back on around 1/2 to 2/3 press on the pedal.
I have 2 questions.
1. Why do all the parts stores insist that I don't have a pedal position sensor (clearly I do, I replaced it.) but instead a stoplight switch? I had to find one online.
2. Since I already said I replaced it, what is the next step in the chain? Does anyone have access to a wiring diagram for that circuit? Turn signals, 4-ways function properly. Shift interlock does not release until pedal is actually pushed and the lights come back on.
Thanks for any help!
