Just trying to figure out if my 2005 Cobalt is a one off freak or if these things were actually manufactured to last.
My Cobalt is now at 580,000 kilometers (close to 350,000 miles) and going strong.
Runs great, dependable....burns oil but other than that I have no issues with it.
Have only done standard maintenance. This year did I have to get the exhaust replaced and had a new battery. The engine has had one tune up since I got it (new).
I have asked a few mechanics about the high mileage and it seems for a domestic made car it has seen a lot more road than any similar Cobalt. I can't bear to get rid of it because I want to see how far it will go.
Has anyone else got big mileage (comparable) or did I just get lucky??
I sent an inquiry to GM to ask if they could tell me what the highest mileage they had on a Cobalt, but only got back an email saying how great they make cars...which wasn't what I wanted to hear.
