Hi i just recently bought a 2010 Chevy cobalt. i have looked but couldn't find an answer if the 2010 cobalt's exhaust is different then the 2008 exhaust. i was also wondering if anyone could tell me a good brand for a bolt on exhaust syrtem. i want a cat back system. i have been looking at the Tsudo N1 system. But i wanted to know what other people were running.

Is it a 4 door or a 2 door cobalt.
Automatic or stick shift.
what motor.
And I think u can get a tsudo for like 200$. Raspy and loud though. Even a Megan racing exhaust. Sound OK on a naturally aspirated engine. Not on my supercharged Hehe.

Exhausts are all the same for manuals and automatics. Only difference is the downpipe. Unless you've got a turbo get the largest resonator you can find and stock it under there, then whatever muffler you like so long as it's not a grapefruit cannon. Stainless baffles and packing hold up the best and won't deteriorate as much over time. Personally just have one made at a good local exhaust shop for a fraction of the price.

It's a 2 door auto 2.2. I'm new to cars tho. I want something throaty that makes alil noise. I don't want that Honda civic whiney sound tho. My ranger I just cut the muffler and did duals out but I don't want it to sound like that either. Haha. Im a country kid and normally we just straight pipe or put glass packs on things. Did you guys have any suggestion for mufflers or kit brands, I can make my pipes I'm a mechanic so that's no problem.

An auto eh? Always thought those sounded funny between shifts with an exhaust. You like that little neck down on your down pipe at the bottom?

Yeah the auto wasn't my best idea to buy but I killed the rangers engine so it was close and a good price. I haven't even been underneath the car yet. I've only owned it for two weeks now.

So the only difference is if its an auto or manually for exhaust. So I could buy one for a different year and still have it fit as long as it the same as my car.

One caveat I forgot to mention. The turbo Cobalt SS has a 3 bolt catback connection, everything else is 2 bolt.
