I drove for a year because it was too damn expensive, had to wait until tax season and then a work discount to get it done the first time, then when that one failed a month after the warranty expired i pitched a fit and got corporate to own up to it and cover the part. I had to pay labor tho. -

Im not doubting what you say by any means. I just know that we all think our cars are worth a certain amount, but the rest of the world doesnt think they are worth the same that we do. -

I did a quick kbb lookup on it and had to based it on us mileage andcosts, and even in excellent condition the trade in is like 14k us, so like 15.5k canadian i approximate. I can nearly guarantee you will be more upside down than you think. -

Just remember you are gonna end up with less because of you mods, in your eyes it made the car better, to a dealer you messed it up. -

Call me crazy but I would think the negative equity hit you are gonna take on trading in the car for an rl are gonna eliminate any cost savings that you are thinking of. If i was unemployed I would think hobbies would be the first thing to be put on hold rather than transportation needs. -
