thats bullshit dude. you shouldn't have to do anything. and this is the first time i've heard of any vibrant exhaust doing this to a cobalt. the tech was just being a lazy **** and didn't adjust it properly.- outtamymind

who did you talk to at the dealership. they should have informed you that there would be complications if the exhaust wasn't meant for your car. if it was the advisor i would call back and talk to the service manager. and if it was the service manager call back and talk to the general manager or...- outtamymind

but get the code scanned to make sure it is the catalyst efficiency code. if its something else then look into what that is but from what you describe its the efficiency code.- outtamymind

first are you talking about the CEL (check engine light). and yes a catless downpipe will cause an catalyst efficiency code. but no it shouldn't reduce any performance of your car. it will only show the annoying code all the time without either getting it tuned out or putting in an O2 spacer to...- outtamymind

What do you use to clean your balt..
i'm not sure what soap i use, its the stuff that my shop gets for all the detailing. but thats all i use really. i wash it, i dry it with a shammy and thats it. interior its simply a vacuum and baby wipes believe or not. as for wax i've tried the eagle one nano one and it worked amazing i must...- outtamymind

thats not from the exhaust exactly. its from the mechanic not properly aligning and tightening the exhaust. i would go back to the dealership and show them. they will pay for it as they are the ones that installed it. and i'm assuming you didn't bottom out on anything so its no one's fault but...- outtamymind
