    Number 1 cylinder missfire. What to do?

    Swap #1 and #4 plugs. Chances are you'll get the misfire on #4 now because Bosch plugs are pure garbage. Replace with a set of AC Delco or NGK. Put it to you this way. If I have a customer coming in looking for a tuneup, I would send them to another shop before we'd put Bosch plugs in.

    The evap self check happens in three's and it comes from the back of the vehicle. It sounds like somebody taps your trunk 3 times. They must have changed how it works slightly because my SS has never done it yet my G5 GT did it on a regular basis.

    GM does not recommend a fluid change under normal service conditions. That being said, I agree with the other guy replying about a fluid and filter change and 50k miles.

    17" G5 GT wheels on a 2009 SS?

    I posted this question to CSS and nobody answered. The 17" G5 GT wheel. Does it clear the Brembos on the front of the SS? I'd like to think yes since the 17" Cobalt SS wheel does but I'm not going to drop the dough on these without being sure.

    2.4s are at best mid 15s with a manual tranny. The auto is slower.

    The slide pins are not lubed from the factory but that's not the cause of rotors being scored up. I lubed up everything at 6,000kms when I saw the first sign of scoring. At 12,000kms both rotors were scored inside and out. The lube was no help.

    Correct. Mine would only do this on the first cold start of the day. And even then maybe once every few weeks. I kept bringing it into our shop trying to catch it with the scope but I could never catch it.

    I agree with you. The tensioner in my G5 2.4 did that every now and again and you could hear the timing chain rattle. A second later, it's pumped up and holding the chain tight again.

    HP is a measurement of torque over time. If the TC made peak HP at 2000rpm, we'd have a pretty useless and incredibly slow car.
