I have a 2008 2 door Cobalt. The battery ran down and there are no tire pressures on the display. I pushed down the Info button and arrow button at the same time and get to the Tire Learn Message. I then push down the arrow button but nothing happens.

The horn never chirps and I don't get the Tire Learn On message. Am I doing something wrong. I don't have RKE.

I did a write up on this a while back. Are you holding the arrow button?

YelloEye,

Yes, I hold down the arrow button but nothing happens and the DIC is reset.

I called the dealership where I bought the car back in 2008 and he offered to relearn my car's TPMS for me. He said it would take a few minutes.

I guess I'll have to take him up on his offer.

Thanks again

Any Discount Tire or Les Schwab should be able to pair your TPMS as well without using the DIC.

YelloEye,

Thanks for your help. I was driving towards the dealership and all the pressures suddenly popped up. However, I do notice the front tire pressures are higher now than they were last week

I guess the computer relearns the TPMS on its own.

It doesn't automatically relearn them. It will remember the last successful set.

I have always pressurized all four tires to 30 psi since I bought the car back in 2008. The front tire pressures still indicated 34 psi so I went ahead and relearned the TPMS using the Info and arrow (reset) buttons. This time the horn beeped twice a few seconds after I pushed the arrow button. The front left turn lamp also turned on. I pushed in the tire valve on the front left tire until I heard the horn beep and I went around the car repeating the process. After the fourth tire the horn beeped twice and I got the message "TPMS Learned."

Thanks
