On my wifes 2008 Chevy Cobalt LT, on a sharp turn with the steering wheel fully turned one way or the other, the tires do a little jump, like they are hitting something in the road. Any Ideas as to why?

about 75,000 miles, regular services, new brakes, it just got really cold in Ohio ~ 20 - 30 degrees. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks for you input!

Yes . Less grip from the cold. Tires lose traction and give you a small jump. But I would check control arm bushings and knuckle. Something may be worn on the car.

Thanks for the reply. Any help with how to check the control arm and bushings? Where are they at and what am I looking for?

Thanks!

Go under the car. You will see a L shape piece. Its called a control arm. At the end of it is a bushing.

I'm going to snap pictures of it and show you where it is. I'll update later tonight with some live pictures

These are the control arms. The bushing on top of each goes bad sometimes
