Hey everyone. I have a 2007 chevy cobalt ls coupe 2.2l engine. I discovered that there is an oil leak. It is a very slight oil leak however. Im not sure where it is coming from, but i just installed a new alternator and theres oil on the outside of the alternator. If theres oil there and it leaks slightly from the bottom. Any ideas?

I would suspect that you are looking at a valve cover, timing chain cover or crank pulley seal leak. I would look to see if the timing chain is cutting a hole thru the valve cover, that would be a serious problem.
