Ok so i was stupid and decided to do that gauge mod to change the color (putting clear blue behind plastic behind it) it didnt work (was rubbing and needle was getting stuck) so i decided to take it out and now the gauge doesnt go to zero it is about half and inch lower than zero. i tried everything i could think of, then i even called the stealership and they didnt know what the hell it could be.

i unplugged the battery unplugged the gauge adjusted it to read zero then connected the battery it seemed to work fine i drove it for a bit and the gauge would go to zero on a stop just like it should, then when i turned off the car and opened the door all 3 gauges dropped but the mph one dropped about an inch then when i turned the car on again the gauge was once again a half inch below zero

DOES ANYONE know wth i can do to fix this

these are a pain in the butt! in order to put them on you had to take off the needles correct? well what you have to do is pull off the needle straight without twisting and reinstall it without twisting precisely where the motor zeros. if you have turned the motor with the needle you have to turn on the car and then back off wait for the needles to reset (shake). you should have made reference marks before you took off the needles.

btw when the car is off and the needles have reset(shake) the mph needle is normally below 0mph

it take alot of time and you may never get it exactly correct. i suggest using a scan tool after to check the accuracy of the gauges.

the thing is that i never ever take the needle off

so i should let it reset to zero then take the needle off then put it back so its in the place it should be?
