To start off, I have an '06 2.2L LT with 90k miles. Last week on my way home my car started having a rough idle when stopped and in Drive (almost dying). Also, it was hesitating when accelerating, thinking it may not go. It was flashing a check engine light, but by the time I was able to check it the engine light was gone and hasnt come back. The accelerating problem stopped on its own, but I still have the rough idle. I have cleaned the throttle body, got a new hose to replace the PCV hose (it was cracked, and this helped some), and cleaned the MAF sensor, fuel filter and pump are only a year old. Idle evens out when I switch to Neutral. Any ideas?

I have had this problem! My check engine light came on and it said my Throttle Body Sensor was malfunctioning.
Look online for a new throttle body assembly. DONT GET IT FROM AUTOZONE. I got mine brand new online for $80 and Autozone charges $270. It's also real easy to install yourself. Just four bolts and a plug.

How old are the plugs and are they properly gapped?
