Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum, and after some time lurking and researching, I have finally made an account here.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the cobalt ss shift know and boot would fit on my 2006 l61 5sp. Any insight or help would be great.

Thanks in advance

The boot should, it's just a ziptie. The knob won't though as it's a different mounting than your stock knob.

Oh ok, is there any suggestions for a good aftermarket one? Or are they all just universal?

Anything that has a set screw will work, something derlin would be better then metal.

Set screw? I thought that was how the ss one was... because when you take the metal cap off there is a screw. Also it shouldn't take too long to do eh?

Your shifter does not have a screw hole in the top. A set screw in on the side, usually is located in the shank and pinches to hold the knob on.

Hey thanks for clearing that up, so any aftermarket one will fit? Do you happen to know the thread sizing? because all the ones I find online are different sizes

So I still haven't found one that I particularly like, does anyone have any suggestions on where to look?
