cars chugging check engine light came on

hey guys,

I have a 09 2.2 ls and the other day i felt some chugging when i was stopped at a light then it stopped by the time i got to work. Fine for a couple of days today on my way home today it started again then my check engine light came on.

Just wondering if anyone else has a experience this.

Get the CEL checked and you'll know more about why it's doing that. Get the exact Pxxxx code.

checked it with my friends scanner got codes 7E8 and 7EA......the scanner mentioned about the camshaft positioning sensor. i am going to replace this to see if it helps but does this mean my timing chain is out.... i hope its just a faulty sensor

That's not a valid CEL code. They're all a P followed by 4 numbers.
