Hello, i am a big fan of forums and currently i am about to purchase a Chevy Cobalt. I was wondering from you guys the experts on Cobalts if there is anything in particular i must look out for or inspect when looking at the car. The car is a 2007 and if im not wrong it should be the "LT". Cant remember engine size but should be looking into the car sometime this week.

Would greatly appreciate the info and if i purchase the care hope to join this forum. :party33:

2.2L L61 motor, there aren't any glaring issues I can think of for it.

Depends on the commute, but freeway you can see 36 mpg. City is closer to 18 if I'm remembering right, I used to have one before I bought my SS.

Make sure the recall has been done on the ignition switch. Also if you are cruising at around 1500-2000 rpms and notice a putter 9 times out of 10 its the torque converter solenoid

Defiantly useful information. What the average cost on replacing the Torque converter Solenoid?

The solenoid itself is about a $30-$40 part. Its located on the outside of the transmission. Not very hard to do yourself, but if you're not very mechanically inclined then take it to a shop. Most shops will charge you by the hour.
