I have an 09 Cobalt LT and the blower motor suddenly stopped working, i checked the fuse inside the car then popped the hood and pulled the red plastic piece on top of the fuse panel and the blower came on!!! So i checked everything inside the fuse panel and reseated anything to do with the blower, then went one step further and dielectric greased the post and big red cables.
The problem went away for about 3 weeks... FFS...

Today it is freezing outside and the stupid thing shut off again. I know if i just pop the hood and hit the fuse box it will come back on.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Mike

Sounds like a loose fuse or connection in the fuse box. You can take the top off and then the fuse level off to check the connectors on the back. Battery needs to be disconnected and I think there are 2-4 8mm screws holding it together.
