2009 Chevy Cobalt LT Coupe Steering Wheel Volume Control

Hello, i'm new, so I apologize if the thread is out of order or oddly worded.

I have a 2009 Chevy Cobalt LT Coupe that has the standard cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. I was wondering if it would be possible to install volume controls on the steering wheel as well. I see there is a blank trim insert on the steering wheel where i've seen some models have the volume control.

I found a link on a GM parts site and this seems to be the button set needed for me to do this, but i'm not sure what all i'm getting myself into.

I'm not sure if you'll need a new clock spring. Might also need a couple options turned on with a Tech2.
