05 radio replacement

I just got a base model 05 for a work car. Every car I have owned I put a radio in it. This is no exception here. I like the look of the new double din android based units. Has anyone come across any issues with them? I did a quick search and it looks like the normal harness adapter is needed. But people are saying I will lose driving control center data. I don't have any steering wheel controls anyway so I'm guessing I'm safe. Since this is a work car, I'm not into putting money where I don't need it. Has anyone had any luck with the cheaper radios. I see them online from 125 no name to 300 for brand name. I'm a true believer in u get what u pay for but I do know some cheap stuff works
