    Thanks for the response . Can either of those be done without welding? Would rather spend 50 to 100 bucks rather than 4-500. Also. Is there any way to tell what's actually causing the loud noise.

    So My 2005 cobalt has gotten really loud when I accelerate. The only thing I could think of is the muffler. My brother is very good at fixing cars but doesn't have much experience with mufflers. Does anyone have any experience with changing the muffler on this car? , is it hard? , whats...
