short shifter installed
Installed it today with no problem. Took me about 45 mins total and i didnt even have to take the tunnel out. Just the top pieces. There would have been more room with them off, but if you dont have huge hands, i wouldn't mess with them. Just use some finesse, and it will come out easily. Worst...- jonny_b

06 LS front end rebuild
Might have well done full tierods, and the intermediate shaft as well. They'll probably be next, or if you have a shake, they are already bad since you replaced everything else. BUT for future knowledge, the fe5 suspension is just the ss stuff. It is obviously stiffer. Shocks and struts are good...- jonny_b

It would look fine. You could even paint your stock ones. I see so many ss's with black rims. A charcoal grey metallic like mine would look good too. Matches the tint, and the front bumber nice since your is the ss. Lol- jonny_b

Looking for a new tune this summer
I know nothing about the tuning programs for cars, but have done my pc5 for my raptor. It was a p.i.t.a. I was disappointed also when i pulled the cover and noticed how bad it was qith the shiny chrome intake. Eithet way i think the intake will be a dark grey before too long. I don't like the chrome look.- jonny_b

Winter happened for the dirtiness, and when i changed the plugs when i brought it home i didn't think to take it off before poppint it off and crack. I always had the cover on it until now and just remembered. I'll be at a junkyard for one soon, and will be pulling out the engine bright...- jonny_b

Here is the piping, i'll pop of the lid in a bit. Idk what kits everyone else got, but 2 peices and its done. I did the basic airbox mod before and it just made it louder at 3k+. After this it is much quieter, and i noticed better throttle response, but i don't think it added much, if any power...- jonny_b

Just curious what a reasonable price for a used, even blown '05 L61 engine would be. I would rather have something to rebuild piece by piece and swap when its done, than have my dd down for however long it takes for a rebuild. need help choosing an intake.
Well if you do it right the intake should be ok. The throttle body connection needs better sealing, but some gasket maker around it would work ok for the 3" 90° bend. Idk how anyone else did it, but it may be better than the gasket maker i did. Just watch the second plug that doesn't connect to...- jonny_b

Well installed a spectre universal intake today. Kept the stock box, did the snorkel removal, and before you say that does nothing, i cut the entire bottom out of the stock box. I have the k&n stock replacement, so i think that will do almost what a $170 intake will do for $65 and about 30 mins...- jonny_b
