Got My SS/TC Suspension on Finally

Agreed, although i'm not as low as you haha. Driver mod ftw.

    hub conversions

Yeah, that was the issue, it just wasn't cost effective. I could downsize to the 18x8 RPF1's, which weigh nothing, and just mount slicks.

    hub conversions

to be honest without body work, 8.5" is as wide as i would go, 9" starts to get wide and 9.5" is only possible in 17". Trust me, i've done so much research on that shit it's ridiculous haha. That's why the 19's are off the car.

17's would fit fine, but they don't come in 5x110. The PF01's do though...

Haha, yeah, thanks man. I didn't know if anyone read DD.

    hub conversions

No, but it doesn't matter, they're the same dimensions as stock, just a different stud spacing.

Just 18x8 +35 offset, they clear the brembo's by a mile. No spacers.

    How To: rear springs

The springs were binding and with the 19's there was no clearance. I'll probably go back to coilovers in the future for show applications. I didn't mind it being low, but i wanted the ability to go higher if i needed, and i couldn't. ---------- Post added at 05:48 PM ---------- Previous post...

    Ls1fbody's intro thread.

I removed and sold the coilovers because i ordered Pedders. Since i didn't have any of my stock stuff anymore, the car is sitting on blocks. I got Eric's old SS/SC struts, so i can swap over the top hat, bushings etc. to my TC struts. Still waiting on my pedder's so no point in putting any of...

    Ls1fbody's intro thread.

Bar isn't on because i have no struts ahaha. Also, the JBP header was so big it pushed on the AC line, which in turn pushed on the strut bar etc. Had to pull it out to keep the header from melting through the aluminum Ac line. So glad i sold that pos.

Pretty much what maven said, he knows more about it than i do. Btw, i got the Axis wheels because even though i spend stupid amounts of money on this car, i couldn't justify 3k+ for TE-37's (my dream wheel) for that much i could have gotten some custom HRE's lol

    How To: rear springs

Unfortunately this axle was the reason i had to abandon my coilovers, At full ride height in the rear i was still tucking a quarter inch of tire.

    How To: rear springs

the shock mounts do nothing for the separate spring and shock setup, but the clearance to run a coilover there is the true gold. Haven't been able to test the rear yet, but according to Powell it keeps the roll center from shifting which is good for high speed stability and weight transfer.

    How To: rear springs

There is an adjustable sway bar inside the stock one, you can see the bolt on the closest trailing arm that acts as an anchor for the adjustment portion on the other side. It allows me to add a left or right preload. Also, the whole thing is modified to lower ride height 1". It has spherical...

    sway bars

OTTP is te way to go. The street bar would actually result in a fairly neutral handling car, which is what you want. I doubt any of us here are delusional that they can drive like mario andretti, and honestly understeer is easier for an unskilled driver to recover from.

    How To: rear springs

It is modified, i just wanted to test you and see if you could tell the differences from the pictures haha

    sway bars

well, you would have been better off replacing the endlinks with something stronger than stock. Why you would think it handles better without the bar is beyond me... And don't bring up the Time Attack car, i know it didn't have a front sway. But i understand why.

    How To: rear springs

why? it's a stock LSJ TWB (Twisting Beam)

    sway bars

Eibach front sway bar will turn your car into an understeer nightmare. FE5 either 24mm(SS/SC) or 25mm(SS/TC) up front, OTTP Hardcore or street in the rear depending on intended use. Great balance, Time Attack tested and approved.

How To: Adjustable Sway Bar Endlinks

Stock links are also flexy. Hence the shorter SS ones.

How To: Adjustable Sway Bar Endlinks

you will get a clunk in your front end. Upgrading them eliminates the stock endlinks which have a tendency to fail. Also, these are adjustable, and that's better for obvious reasons.
