    Don't think you understand. The actual shock is to thick in diameter. When its laying flat(when hood is closed)its about an .125" to tall, makes the hood sit to high on that side.

    hood would'nt fit correct if I left the shock in, hoods only going to be on 4 or 5 mths a year, not to worried about it

    im my toolbox ---------- Post added at 07:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:15 AM ---------- I have the shock from the old hood, but you have to push the hood down to close it, so I'll probably never need it, no wind in the garage anyway, thats the only place it will be open

    Better just let a professional do it. I broke off 4 exhaust manifold bolts when I put my header on, rest of the exhaust was the same way, so I cut it off and put new pipe in but welded it back instead of using the flanges. 50 bucks sounds real good if he doesnt **** it up

    Do a search, pics will help more than I can explain. You pretty much just pull the trim off (just snaps in) and there's 4 little bolts to take out. Pretty straight forward

    Took some washers and a drill, but its pretty damn close. One of the better fitting hoods I've seen
