    N/A Build

it was my buddy's car from work, 3.5" pulley w/o tune apparently he just told me. i understand where you're coming from on "why would you buy this if you're going to buy this" ... but also i don't understand why you have to rip on people for getting a little more power just for the hell of it...

    N/A Build

*cough*i bought mani and tb and i'm going sc'd*cough* imo, it's just a way of getting more power now and that gives you time to learn about the car and how to do things in order to get more power, hence supercharge build. on another note, from a dig and going forth, my fully bolted car...

they give better traction off the line and also less body throw between shifting www.turbotechracing.com --- engine and tranny mounts i think the 2.5 downpipe from zzp is getting refabricated design or something i was told. do NOT get a 3 inch pipe, for your sake and for mine by giving myself...

prevent wheel hop and a lot less movement on the engine and tranny. at low rpms, the car shakes like a bitch though. smooths out around 1.5-2k rpms though

don't get a 3", get a 2.5. 3 inch would be too much of a loss of back pressure

    Turbo cobalt q's

more than that. building up your internals is going to be a VERY wise thing to do, and that will run you nearly 1k in itself.

    Catback

not unless you have a turbo, or a pretty well boosted supercharger. keep with 2.5 or 2.25 inches

possible, yes. but definitely not worth your time/money/blood/sweat/tears/agony

    how much for injectors?

    Would this lower my mpg?

could do either or. i got my tune sent to me via email and borrowed an obd2 cable from the company to upload it to the car's pcm. you CAN go to a place to tune it, but that will probably cost you more money. if you have questions about tuning. email vince at [email protected]

    Would this lower my mpg?

well that depends. are you planning on doing more work to your car? if so, a tune isn't worth it right now just for the fact that you're gonna have the same problem if you add more things to your car. are you an auto or a manual? i spent 225 on my tune. did it through TRIFECTA PERFORMANCE by...

    Would this lower my mpg?

the reason why is because your car isn't tuned for the mods you've added. if your car's computer knew that you added those by tuning it and compensating for those mods, your mpg's would probably be good. it might be the way you drive too. when i added my mods, my mpg's went down too, but that's...

check engine light won't go away..ughhh

go to autozone or someplace that scans the ECU for free, and get the code that it is displaying. come back here and let us know. honestly, there really aren't very many cobalts that have a lot of problems. they are a pretty solid car except for the damn suspension. couple questions first, just...

i've got the same set up you're looking at. my set up is: bad-mab header, zzp 2.5" catted downpipe WITH extra o2 bung (with o2 bung plug), and tsudo n1 catback. you will need to get a different pulley. what pulley size are you going to be running with the supercharger?
  20. B

    More Questions

yea supercharger is basically completely bolt on, which is nice. auto's do not need a new clutch, as said before, make sure you get the right downpipe with the right amount of o2 bungs. if you don't already have it, get a new catback too.
  21. B

    More Questions

i don't think you need a new clutch if you're an automatic. the bung, is where the 02 sensors go into. the "extra bung" is having one extra for a wideband o2 sensor. now, you're going to have to make sure before you buy your downpipe, if your new header either comes with an 02 bung in it or not...

    More Questions

you choose by deciding how much money you want to throw into it. technically if you do zzp's set up for either one, the TC is cheaper. but keeping in mind you're also going to have to get a new clutch right away, and also you're going to need to upgrade the internals sometime soon after also...

honestly, the install of cams is going to be like 1.5k, the horsepower gain out of it is going to be less than 10, not to metion only about 5hp to the wheels. which would be completely unnoticeable. ---------- Post added at 11:17 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:15 AM ---------- but then...

    More Questions

why do you want cams? if you've got quite a bit of money saved up, spend it on a supercharged build. putting cams and injectors on a 2.2 N/A is pretty much pointless. and there's absolutely NO point to put in bigger injectors unless you go F/I or put cams in, but i highly suggest not putting...
